Item Description
This is a 5 day auction for a card from the 1st edition Base Set of the Pokémon Trading Card Game produced by Wizards of the Coast in 1999.
I will combine postage for UK buyers interested in multiple listings.
I will combine postage for international buyers, buyers must expect additional duties and import fees. Please read the 'International Buyers' section at bottom of description for more details.
I also have every card from the 1st edition Base Set listed, ending in increments, so please have a look if you're interested!
As the description is the same for all cards in this 1st edition Base Set lot, please refer to the high-quality scanned images of the card for inspections, and the title of this listing for my estimate of its condition.
Below is a basic breakdown of how I'm describing cards' conditions, but as there is no consistent naming of raw card conditions on eBay, hopefully the scans speak for themselves. If you require any additional photos or information, do send me a message.
- Mint - Mint condition, virtually no visible defects even under direct lighting.
- Mint/NM - As above but with some extremely minor visible defects under direct lighting.
- Near Mint - As above but with more defects or defects that are more visible.
- NM/EXC - A condition with great visual appeal but a defect (or defects) that would make "Near Mint" feel like a disingenuous descriptor.
- EXC (Excellent) - A condition that's definitely not mint but the defects are basically not visible as a binder card under regular lighting.
- EXC/LP (Excellent/Light Play) - As above but some defects might be visible even in a binder under regular lighting.
- LP - As above but more/more visible defects.
- Played - As the label suggests, any card with sufficient defects that it's always apparent that the card is not in great condition.
I will combine postage for anyone who wins multiple cards once the evening's auctions have finished. If you're interested in cards that end across multiple days, I will update the combined postage invoice as they end or you can let me know via message. I will also do my best to refund anyone who overpays for postage.
The card is held in a semi-rigid card-holder, packed in an Ultra-Pro sealable plastic sleeve, and a rigid cardboard envelope.
The holographic cards will be posted via Royal Mail with Special Delivery, or a higher tier service if combined orders require additional coverage. *The Charizard will be shipped with FedEx within the UK for insurance purposes.
I am offering direct combined postage for international orders, as eBay's Global Shipping Policy does not. Any international buyers should expect additional duties and import fees that will vary country to country. These import fees will definitely be much lower than the eBay's Shipping Program but will only be due once the card(s) arrive and can likely be calculated by looking up your local governance's import regulations.
All international orders of holographic cards will be sent via FedEx International Priority.
