Item Description

E3 stamped promotional card from E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) event in Los Angeles May 1999. This card is considered to be the first American promo card. 

This is the rare misprint Red Cheeks variant, of which the productions were quickly stopped to replace it with the Yellow Cheeks. Featuring the iconic artwork of the Electric Mouse Pokémon by Mitsuhiro Arita, the Red Cheeks version of this card was swapped for a Yellow Cheeks version mid-production by Wizards of the Coast without the illustrator's permission.
